Product Photography - Entry #7

This piece of jewelry is captured nicely in a professional product shoot.

Shutter Speed - Entry #3

The picture above has a slow shutter speed, making the water blurry.

The picture above has a fast shutter speed, freezing the jumping children in place.

This shot tracks the bear as it circles round and round.

Limited Depth of Field - Entry #2

The girl's hand is in focus but her face is out of focus.

Only the flower is in focus while the background is blurry.

Only the middle part of the flower is in focus.

Entree #1

I have always been attracted to the ocean. These pictures of the beach are in HDR format which creates beautiful highlights and colors throughout each photo.

Sandy Skoglund

Sandy Skoglund's Germs Are Everywhere was one of my favorites simply because of the color. I love green and how she made everything in the room the same color except for the plant in the foreground.

Jan Groover

The fork and reflection of leaves in the knife is an odd yet interesting combination for the photo. This irony is what drew me to the piece.

Edward Weston

This photo by Edward Weston is simple yet beautiful. The way the nude woman crosses her legs and arms creates curved lines throughout the photo and makes for an interesting image.

Irvin Penn

Irvin Penn successfully merged fashion photography with fine art. I love this photo of the classy woman in a black dress. The simple background and posture makes for a beautiful piece of art.

Olivia Parker

This photo, entitled Orchid, was one of my favorites. I love the delicate and feminine feel the photo gives to the onlooker.
This photo, Pods of Chance, is another one of Parker's photos that I love.  The subject matter and its arrangement makes for a unique picture.
